This doll is marked only with the letters 273 dep and although has the look of a Kestner
I believe is a Bahr and Proschild. The head is perfect and the quality is good. She was
bought in Paris and was made for the French market. Her eyes open and close and she
has pierced ears. Her wig is original and real hair.
The body is also like a Kestner one. It is quite heavy, has fixed wrists and has a lovely
creamy original finish to it. Her clothes are original and are French traditional dress.
There is a crucifix but you can’t see it in the photographs. She measures 22 inches and
dates around 1910.
