This German doll is just marked ' Special 11' but could possibly be a Schoenau and
Hoffmeister or C. M Bergmann. She has a perfect bisque head, dark brown eyes with
full eyelashes, nice gentle face, and a real hair wig.
Her body is in reasonably good condition and has had a bit of paintwork done to make
certain parts look refreshed - for example the hands.
She wears lots of lace clothing which are very pretty but have had a few snags sewn
up.
She measures 26 inches and dates around 1910-20.

This is a nice example of an Etienne Denamur doll. She has a perfect good quality
bisque head which has lovely colouring – there is even a little blushing on her chin.
She has large blue fixed paperweight eyes, heavy brows and pierced ears. She has her
original pate and wig which is in very good condition. There is a small firing flaw just
above one ear which l am just mentioning for accuracy.
Her body is chunky and in reasonably good condition with just the usual rubs and
scuffs. The hands have a couple of old paint touch ups but these are not really
noticables the colour matches.
She measures almost 24inches (although she looks larger) and dates around 1890.

These dolls are usually marked SFBJ Depose but this little darling has a label on the
back of the head marked 'Brevette S.G.D.G.’, which would indicate that she is an earlier
model.
She is a walking kiss throwing doll and when you move her legs and her arms are in
the right position her head turns and an arm is raised as if to throw a kiss. She has
flirty eyes, her ears are pierced and her mama still works.
Her head is perfect and the quality is excellent. Her eyes still have most of their lashes
too. She has a card pate and her wig is French and a real hair replacement.

Pretty doll looks like an A.M but haven't had the time to research the maker. She has a

This is quite a large By-Lo baby. She has a perfect nice quality bisque head, open close

these dolls. It was a marketing move which allowed anyone to sell the dolls, cheaper

need a little touch up. There is a Jumeau stamp at the back of the body.

When l bought this cloth doll l though it could possibly be a late Lenci as the face is
similar to a much earlier one which also looks quite grumpy. She also has a Lenci label
attached to her. The clothes are also very convincing and beautifully made with a
bustle and muff. She has petticoats and bloomers too. The clothes are a little dusty but
otherwise in good condition. The hands under the muff also have two fingers joined as
in a Lenci. Although there is plenty of felt in the clothing the doll is fully articulated but
is not made of felt. She also has no ears under the wig. So she has either had a label
fixed to her making her look like a Lenci or she is one.
I think she could be 1950/60s. She is almost 19” although the gown is a bit longer.

This little French doll looks like a Pintel and Godchaux but the markings on the back of
her head look like 'D I ' so l am a bit confused. She has a perfect bisque head apart
from the fact that the colouring on her face is not. She has on one side of her face many
tiny dark speckles which are not obvious unless you look closely. The imperfection
would have been caused in the firing of her bisque head but was not obvious when l
bought her in France. They dont really show in the pictures. I think however she is very
cute with lovely blue paperweight eyes and a sweet smile with five teeth. She has a cork
pate and a real hair French wig.
Her body is a Jumeau one with a label on the back and it is in nice condition.

I bought this doll in Paris because I loved the dress on her. I am not completely learned
with wax dolls but will do my best to describe her.
She has a slightly turned head which l believe is wax over composition and in pretty good
condition. She has fixed blue glass eyes, pink cheeks and tiny mouth. I would think that
her hair was maybe added later although the style is probably fitting with the period. She
has a kid body with a small waist ( l have added a small piece of kid there because l could
sense it might split. She has leather hands which are beautifully and delicately made. I
have not undressed her properly incase I spoilt anything. There is a piece of paper
attatch to her dress which l believe has German writing on it and the date 1830-40 is
mentioned. She has a lovely outfit on which has quite a bit of hand stitching on it.
Underneath she has all her underwear, knickers and petticoats. One picture has a few
hairs just showing on her face – they are not cracks.
She measures 22 inches and probably does date 1840.

This is a lovely character baby with a fine quality perfect bisque head and pale
colouring. Her open close eyes have all their lashes and wax eyelids. Her card pate is
original but she has a replacement vintage mohair wig which looks lovely on her.
Her five piece body is in good condition with just some rubbing on the hands. On close
inspection she looks to have had one finger repair which l hadn't really noticed before.
She has a lovely gentle face – measures nearly 18 inches and dates around 1910.

These two babies can be sold together or separately. One must be close to the smallest
size that was made and measures 10 inches. The other one is 11 inches but looks
bigger and chubbier. They both have perfect heads with open close brown eyes, and
both bodies are cloth and in good clean condition. The smaller one has a small bit of
two of her celluloid fingers missing but they have been fixed and are not very
noticeable. They date around 1910.
I also have a much bigger one in my stock. Just ask for pictures if interested.

This doll was one of the first French dolls l bought many years ago, not the prettiest but
a nice quality bisque and colouring for a Limoge – so time to dress her up. She has
fixed eyes which is usual for this make, pierced ears and a replacement real hair French
wig. Her French body is like that of a Jumeau one and has had some repaint here and
there which is not that obvious, the condition looks good.
She dates around 1915

Three dolls in a wicker case in excellent condition. The larger doll looks to be a
Kammer and Reinhardt and not sure about the other doll. They all seem to be perfect
but I haven’t removed the original hair and pate and so cannot confirm the make. The
tiny baby is nicely wrapped up and seemingly untouched. The K and R is fully
articulated, the smaller one with blonde hair moves limbs but not the head. The case is
9 inches x 5 and a half. Any questions please ask.

Its unusual to find a French fully jointed Limoge like this one but she is cute. She has a
perfect bisque head with fixed paperweight eyes and pierced ears. She has an original
pate and possibly an original real hair wig.
She wears lots of underwear and body looks mostly in good condition. She dates about
1915.

This is more of a small child doll with rosy cheeks and two small teeth. She has a
perfect head with open close brown eyes. She has an original mohair wig.
Her body is fully jointed and in good condition, her little knees still have some pink
colouring. She has no make on the back, just an M and a number 914 which could mean
she was made by Otto Reinecke around 1915 – 20.

Although the back of her head is unmarked this pretty French doll is probably an SFBJ.
She has a perfect good quality bisque head with nice colouring, open close eyes with
